The three stories are similar in many ways. They all follow a similar plot and all have a similar theme of the dangers of love. Romeo and Juliet is a play meant to be performed on a stage that was created by Shakespeare in the late fifteen hundreds. Pyramus and Thisbe is a narrated Greek poem written before Shakespeare's play. Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia is an article about a true story that occurred not too many years ago in the middle east. Romeo and Juliet took place in Verona, Italy, Pyramus and Thisbe was in ancient Babylon, and Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia was in Sarajevo, Bosnia. Unlike Romeo and Juliet and Pyramus and Thisbe, Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia was a real modern-day occurrence. Bosko and Admira were only being kept apart because of their religion and not so much by their families. Bosco's father approved, but his grandmother didn’t believe the relationship was wise. Both lovers died by gunshot and not by suicide like the other two stories. They were killed at roughly the same time. Pyramus and Thisbe was not very detailed about the story. It was short and sweet. Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia was more informative. It gave lots of information regarding the events going on. Romeo and Juliet was the most descriptive and detailed. Emotionally there were very little in Pyramus and Thisbe, more in Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia, and an emotion overload in Romeo and Juliet. This means it was longer and much more detailed to inform the audience of the full story. All the characters were very developed. The way it was written was to engage the audience and make them feel like they were in Verona, Italy. Pyramus and Thisbe being a poem was very quick. It did not expand much upon the characters other than saying that they loved each other very much and had talked for years from the crack. It was also not very realistic. A lion would not just appear and want to eat Thisbe out of the blue. It was more of a child's story. Romeo and Juliet in Bosnia being an article was factual. It really makes the reader think about the modern world's problems. The description of Bosko and Admira was just enough. They were innocent lovers that never should have
