John had a rebellious personality, he hated any kind of authority from his teachers in Franklin High to his father. One of many John's act of rebellion towards the school was During his freshman year in highschool, John would make bombs out of firecrackers, candles,and clay set them behind the toilets in the bathrooms of the high school. John would also refer teachers as being retarded and draw on desks while no one is looking. While in that sad state he started talking about his wife again and how close they were, then he finally admits to them that his wife is dead. In an attempt to cheer the Pigman up both John and Lorraine started the usual fun and games to get Mr.pignati to his old self. It was successful and the Pigman joined them playing another mind game; soon after that they all had their skates on skating around the house until Mr.Pignati pushed himself too much and had a heart attack. While Mr.Pignati was in the hospital John and Lorraine would go to his house watch TV, dress up, and have a spaghetti dinner. The day before the day the Pigman was released from the hospital John decided that he was going to invite a few friends over and convinced Lorraine that it was a good idea because the Pigman would’ve wanted them to have friends over. So John called some people and Lorraine called some people by the time they were done inviting people over there was 40 kids. Thing were going pretty good until towards the end John broke out the skates and Norton showed up. A little later John found Norton stealing the oscilloscope, John tried to stop him but Norton won the fight destroyed some of pigs and got away.
