After reading this chapter, I find Daoism and Confucianism interesting religions. I knew a little about these two religion, but after reading the chapter and watching that videos, I understand it a lot better. I think the thing that stood out the most for me was the Yin and Yang. As you mentioned above, Yin represents femininity (passive, gentle, and docile) and Yang is represents masculinity (Firm, active and strong). In my opinion, I think we use these symbols in our society today. Society thinks that women should be gentle and docile and they shouldn’t act like men who are active and strong. I also like how when these two symbols are working together in harmony, there is peace.
