Describe extracurricular activities, including leadership positions, in which you have participated.
My most significant leadership role has been my position as a color guard captain and marching band leader. I have learned to be observant of negative attitudes and how to avoid allowing situations to arise in which team mates might negatively criticize each other. I have also learned to maintain a productive atmosphere when our supervisors are busy with administrative organization. Most importantly, I have learned to lead by example, which includes maintaining a positive and energetic attitude and holding my self-standards high and always being respectful to the adults involved in the marching band program. In addition, I participate in National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. Both societies

Additionally, I have considered the fields of genetics and oncology. After college, I will most likely continue my education by gaining a PhD, MD, or possibly both. A pre-medicine major will provide further insight on which concentrations I will be most interested in.

I have chosen to apply to Auburn for its respected status and immense amount of opportunities for research and extensive list of majors to choose from. Upon visiting, I found the layout of the campus to be homey and convenient. I would be successful at Auburn because I always express fearless determination in the pursuit of my goals, and I will not give up opportunities that could lead me to the beginning of a successful career. I am a positive leader with strong values encompassing primarily the facets of integrity and unity, so I will surely be an exemplary student.
