Differences And Similarities Between Actors And Athletes

Decent Essays
Did you know that job statfiation is at its highest in the last decade? Choosing a job you enjoy and want to go with is a very important step in life, two picked options are actors and athletes. Today I am going to compare and contrast the two, because even though it seems like they have a ton of diffrences, they are alike for some reasons to. The reason why I am going to be doing this is to help people decide between the two options.

To start off with comparing and contracting the two choices I will start off with how to become one. On both choices a formal education is not required but it is suggested that for a sport you start it in school to start to gain the skills for it or just pratice on your own, and for acting it´s suggested that if you are in school you join a skill to also help your skills.

There is no extact age you can start, meaning you can get a role or go to a acting school early in your life giving you more time to get better at it, while as a athlete you can still join a sport you will not be getting pay and there is really no chance to end up to getting in the big leagues due to your age. Also, another reason I think a actor is a better choice because you don’t really need to be in shape, giving more oppurtinitys, even though being in shape is good, you won’t have to get really in shape to get a job. The third reason is the chance of getting a injury in sports, you could get a injury while acting if you are a stunt double in a action scene or something but the chance of getting hurt while acting is lower then getting hurt in a sport. Those are the reasons why I chose actor as a better job, even though both choices are good choices, I consider acting to be a better choice out of the two, those were most of the ways they compare and contract and that is the result I have

Once in awhile, there is a name that just embeds itself in my brain and I cannot seem to obliterate it. Interestingly enough, it just so happens that Preston Vanderslice is one of those names. Thankfully, he is more than just a memorable name as he is a noteworthy actor as well. I first noticed him in Love By Chance, and it seems as though Hallmark, amongst other things, is slowly beginning to learn and take advantage of his potential as an artist. Recently, I had the opportunity to ask him a few questions (and completely misread one of his credits--keep reading, you 'll understand what I mean), and he was kind enough to respond with a little insight into his career and even expound a bit upon his outlook on this polymorphous industry.…

I loved film, theater, and television because it let people escape for a moment into a fictional world. As an actress, you could be someone else. But on the flip side, I’ve since learned that actors are really not supposed to be trying to act--they should be trying to portray real life. When I was in high school, I got involved in the theater program, but I didn’t think it could be a real career. So I went off to the university and pursued a degree in marketing and…

Because Appetite For Love holds such a treasured place in my heart (I got to interview both male leads--Andrew Walker and Marcus Rosner--and they were kind enough to let a novice feature them), I often find myself going back to my review of that film and attempting to connect with the supporting cast of that momentous film. Many people have an athlete that they look up to and that is their role model. Many of these people are children and teens so because of this people think that it is the sports teams responsibility to hold players to a higher standard for their personal conduct. It is the sports teams responsibility because of the power athletes can have in a society and the image of the team and the game they can create. Players should be held to a higher standard because since they are celebrities they have the power to spread messages to their fans and society. In a website article called, “Are Athletes Good Role Models?” from Psychology Today by Frank L Smoll Ph.D, it says that “Athletes have an incredible opportunity to use their celebrity power to…
