There has always been an ongoing discussion in the gamers’ world about which system is better: Microsoft’s Xbox or Sony’s PlayStation. There has been a lot of debate regarding this issue. What gamers’ are looking for is good graphics, a decent price and a variety of games. Some say PlayStation has better graphics but Xbox has better games. There is a plethora of information, good and bad, about both companies and both systems to compare and contrast their strengths and weaknesses. The first point I would like to bring up in both systems is the graphics. Many people that play PlayStation believe the graphics for that system are better than those of the Xbox. The settings are more lifelike and realistic, and the picture is very crisp and clean. This is how the graphics have been for PlayStation’s fans since PlayStation 3 was introduced. PlayStation 1 and 2 had decent graphics as well. Considering today’s technology we have today was not available. Some feel the graphics for the Xbox are significantly lacking in comparison to those of the PlayStation. An additional system that enabled you to play online was an additional $10.99 for a month, $34.99 for 6 months and $49.99 for a year. Online capability meant that each month you were given a free game with extra features and sharing capabilities. The Xbox One’s starting price was significantly higher at a price point of $499.
