The historical account that appeal to me the most was by Suetonius about Tiberius. I chose it among others because I found it to be the most informative and balanced one. It gave just enough background information on where Tiberius came from and how his life was before he became an emperor; right in the beginning Suetonius said where Tiberius was born—even though there was a doubt on where and when he was actually born— and how he started to accompanying Augustus. Also, it gave information on his privet life such is who was his first wife—Agrippina— and who and why became his second wife—Julia, Augustus’s daughter. Suetonius also mentioned what Tiberius personality was “His cruel and cold-blooded character was not completely hidden even in his boyhood… But it grew still more noticeable after he became emperor…”. Another thing that makes this historical account to stood out for me as the description of how Tiberius looked like “He was large and strong of frame, and a stature above average; board of shoulders and chest…” (Suetonius). Finally, the important detail is his actions as an emperor; according to Suetonius he tortured a host that he invited him self and killed him after discovered his mistake, he executed a lot created new ways of torturing
