The Interlopers and The Story of an Hour are both similar and opposite. The Interlopers starts off with a man in the woods planning revenge on his family’s longtime enemies. The man is waiting and finally sees the other man. They start getting into a fight and somehow make a tree branch fall. The branch fell on their legs, attaching them to the ground. The men keep bickering and hear a sound off in the distance. They hear the sound not knowing what it is. Finally, they see the wolf.
The Story of an Hour tells a story of a woman whose husband just died. She states how lonely she is and how she can’t live. She finally realizes that she is now independent. Everybody thinks she’s crazy, because she is happy even though her husband is dead. She
