The Restoration Temple greater than Solomon’s Temple mainly because it was the Temple where Jesus Christ would come and worship. Solomon’s temple trumped the Restoration Temple in magnitude and beauty. The foundation of the new temple was so much smaller that the elders wept, knowing it would not be as glorious as Solomon’s Temple. The Restoration Temple marked the beginning of a new age and covenant, pointing to Christ. He would go to that same Temple to worship and be circumcised. Solomon’s Temple was more beautiful, larger, and grander, yet the Restoration Temple saw the birth, life, and death of the Messiah.
