Who will it be?
“The Pardoner's Tale” there were three rioters. They were drinking early in the morning when they realize that there is a funeral going on nearby. They ask who it was. The man they are burying was an old friend of theirs. The rioter request to know who killed their friend. Death was the one who killed him. Death has ravaged many nearby towns and was relentless, no one has seen this man but everyone knows he is there. The rioters rally together and make a vow to stand by each other. They want to stand together and kill Death. They head off to find death. While searching for Death they come across an old man, they ask if he has seen Death. The old man told them that Death can be found under a tree. The rioters go to the tree and there is no death to be found there, but a pile of treasure and gold.They forgot and abandoned their real reason they are there in the …show more content…
“The Wife of Bath’s Tale” has a more valuable and serious lesson than “The Pardoner’s Tale” but they both teach valuable lessons that everyone should learn throughout their lives. Everyone has their favorite genre of stories which makes one story more entertaining than another. It’s entertaining that the men were so invested and committed to killing Death then they find the treasure they forget all about Death. Then they decide to wait untill night to move the treasure and gold to avoid suspicion because they knew that it was wrong to take the gold in the first place but they did it anyway. Also, they start out with a vow to each other to stand with each other and be brothers. Then they come across this treasure and gold and start turning against each other. They could have stuck with the plan of just splitting it equally, but they all get the idea to kill each other. The youngest didn’t have to poison the wine for the other two, but he did his actions were fueled by greed. The same with the other two they didn’t have to stab the youngest but they did. Also, all three of them didn’t have to even keep or interact with the treasure and gold they could have continued along with their mission to find Death and kill it but they didn’t. This tale is more vivid and descriptive than “The Wife of Bath’s Tale”. I can imagine this story in my head more it's like a movie in my head. It’s human nature to
