The Outsiders, written by S.E. Hilton and released on 1967 was a compelling novel. The book depicted the violence between two gangs, the Socs and the Greasers, as well as discrimination of the poor and lower class. The Socs were described as upper class snobs that always got what they wanted. The greasers were described as long haired kid-brothers that always stuck up for each other but couldn’t stop getting into trouble. Later in 1983 The Outsiders novel was created into a movie. Although both were spectacular they both had their fair share of differences and similarities.
