Civil War, a war fought between the North Union and the South Confederacy. The war started in 1861, and ended on April 9th 1865. The Unions style of fighting was used first by the Teutonic/Anglo-Saxon fighters. The Confederates style of fighting was the Celtic style. Culture had a lot to do with how each side fought.
The Confederates were proud like the Celtic leaders of the past. They would attack head on or in the offensive. Part of this was how they were taught to fight. The North didn’t have a lot of military training. Lincoln hardly new anything about war. By being very smart he learned and became a great military planner and leader.
The Union really wanted to keep the North and South together, so they invaded the South. They accomplished that by using the Anaconda plan. Because there was very little experience on both sides, there was a lot of confusion and a lot of deaths. The number of Northerners who fought in the war was two million and the number of Southerners who fought in the war was 750,000 and all together 2.75 million soldiers fought in the Civil War. The Civil War is known as the bloodiest war fought in the United States.
The Civil War was fought by the North and the South who were raised with different cultures, that’s why they fought differently. The Union fought like the Teutonic/Anglo-Saxons and the Confederates fought like the Celtic. The way the president’s lead the Union and the Confederacy affected how they fought in the Civil war. Ultimately the South fought for their home and their way of living life, and the North fought to keep the Union of the North and South, and also to get rid of
