According to Grolier Online (2015) mongoose have great “speed, agility, and timing.” The Mongoose is very fast so it can sneak around quickly and fight better. Funk and Wagnalls (2014) states that mongoose can attack the “largest and most poisonous snakes.” Mongoose can attack the largest and longest snakes, and the cobra is long and very poisonous. Mongoose can use their speed to attack long and poisonous snakes.
Finally, the opposing side believes that the cobra would win yet, I disagree for many different reasons. Klum (2001) states that cobras are “the longest venomous snake.” Even though the cobra is venomous that mongoose can tolerate some dosages of cobra venom. According to Campbell (2015) the bite of a cobra “are potentially dangerous.” The cobra has short fangs that they bite with and the mongoose has dense fur so the cobra’s fangs can’t get through their fur easily. Campbell (2015) states that cobras have “the ability to spray venom from their fangs accurately.” Mongoose have great timing and are very quick so they can dodge the venom that is sprayed from the cobra.
In conclusion, the mongoose would be victorious because it has many defenses, weapons, and many other great things. If a mongoose and a cobra went into combat I believe that the mongoose would be victorious. All of this evidence proves that even if an animal looks threating it doesn’t mean it
