Compare And Contrast The Mexican American War

In the Mexican war, there were 2 sides, The Liberals and The Conservatives. In this war, there were mostly political movements. The Liberals wanted a federalist government, which limited traditional Catholic Church and military influence. On the other hand, The Conservatives wanted a Centralist government, maybe even a monarchy, with the church and military having their traditional roles.
