The aims of this form of therapy, according to Freud, was to help people live a healthy life where they can escape their conflict feeling less anxious. Also, the main aim was to bring the patients suffering from a psychological disorder with oppressed and denied feelings into conscious awareness, where they expressed their inner conflicts of conscious thoughts and feelings in order to solve the obstacle or situation they are suffering from.
