Odysseus and his men were sailing home from one of their adventures and the current in the ocean swept them away towards the island of the Lotus eaters. From the island of the Lotus eaters Odysseus and his men sailed to an island across from the island of the Cyclops. Odysseus and his men rested from the journey and then sailed to the island to explore. When they were on the island they found a cave and went inside it, once inside they discovered that a Cyclops was living inside but not inside the cave when they arrived. Odysseus and his men lit a fire and waited for the Cyclops. When the Cyclops arrived it asked Odysseus what he and his men were doing and where they came from. The Cyclops asked where Odysseus left his ship, then Odysseus
