As a member of Parliament, he warned the British of the threat posed by Nazi Germany (p. 582). Churchill did not support union trades. He was a supporter of capitalism and wanted social reform. Churchill was also a liberal.

While there are many differences between these two men, there are also some similarities. Hitler and Churchill both were anti-socialists and hated communism. By not altering their message to suit their audience, but by carrying on insisting that they were right, they both garnered huge support when events finally seemed to confirm their view of the political situation. Both men also fought in WW1. They both also had excellent war tactics.

In conclusion, Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler were two dissimilar war leaders with little in common. One of these leaders was an example of something that should not be repeated in history. The other was a great man trying to win the war for the better. The things that set them apart are what made them the leaders that they were. The things they had in common also set them apart and greatly affected their alliances and war tactics. Their political ideologies, treatment of their citizens, and goals for the war are the similarities and differences between these

Yes, I do think that the statement that stated that Winston Churchill could possibly be Britain's most powerful weapon against Hitler's Germany is a very true statement for many different reasons. A lot of the British people, the British government, and also the British Army not only saw him as the British prime minister, but they saw him as meaning and being so much more. Through the times of need, he gave the people, the army, and also the British government hope that they would be safe from Germany and also safe from Hitler. He made sure that the people knew that they were safe under his control and that he would protect them through the good times and the bad. I think that he was a great powerful weapon because he stood up for his country.…

I believe a good quality that every leader should have is a good dream. Martin Luther King Jr. for example was a great leader because he had a dream that others could relate to. He wanted blacks to be treated equally, and with his “I have a dream” Speach it helped pass the dream along. You also need to be good at convincing people to agree with your side. If no one wants to vote for your side then your not a good leader.…

Early after WWII began, he made a speech to the House of Commons which was made public that allowed Great Britain to brace itself for the hard times to come. He was vital for his country because as Andrew Roberts says, “ An awful lot of people thought it was impossible to beat the Nazis but he managed to tell the British people that this could happen” (Vitale, 6). The importance that Churchill made to the beliefs of Britons grew by the day. Throughout the threat of the invasion of Britain, Churchill became a great advocate and many started to believe in his words. Being one of very few that warned of the rise of Hitler and still being persistent when no one listened, his reputation began to change.…

Winston Churchill to Franklin D. Roosevelt, December 7, 1940: http://www.fdrlibrary.marist.edu/website_online_version/psf/box34/a311s02.html Winston Churchill had become Prime Minister of Great Britain in April 1940. He would remain the dominant figure in British politics throughout the war, and is most remembered today for his steadfast refusal to surrender to Hitler, even after all of Britain’s European allies had been defeated. As we reach the end of this year I feel that you will expect me to lay before you the prospects for 1941. I do so strongly and confidently because it seems to me that the vast majority of American citizens have recorded their conviction that the safety of the United States as well as the future of our two democracies…

Leadership can be defined and seen in many different ways, but the base, key qualities of a good leader generally should stay the same. Such qualities include honesty, compassion, integrity, confidence, and flexibility. When referring to a so-called “bad leader”, it is important to tell the difference between being bad at leading, and morally corrupt.
