Compare And Contrast The Dark Game And The Code Book

There are many ways of expressing the subject of a text, and people use these forms of text to learn new information based off of these types of literature. The Code Book and The Dark Game are two examples of this and have many similarities and differences. With these differences, a reader can decide how they can be able to learn the information given, either through stories or through pure information. Even though The Code Book and The Dark Game have a similar purpose, discussing the use of codes in war, they go about it in different ways by using different literary styles. First, both works discuss codes and their purposes during World War II and the other wars to soon follow. Both reference different events within the war, stating how the codes were used and what they meant, along with the real life people and placed that took place as they happened. These two books made sure to include enough information to keep the reader interested in the subject and kept the reader hooked to the information throughout the entire work. The Dark Game is a narrative style of literature, as it tells a story of a spies and the codes they used during the second World War. This allows for the reader to be entertained with the characters based off of real spies, as well as be acquainted with the real life people, places, and events in history as they occurred. The Code Book, unlike The Dark Game, does not follow the process of a story, as it follows an informative style of literature by stating facts and information without story elements and provides facts and evidence supporting its text.
