The story Lord of the Flies from William Golding is a lot alike to the events of World War II also, the storyline of Lord of the Flies is comparable to the timeline from World War II. The two main characters that make Lord of the Flies similar to World War II is Jack and Ralph, they both wanted to be leaders. Each person in the book shows resembles to a person or thing that happened in the World War II. The main focus on this essay to show the similarities between this book and World War II.. Jack and Ralph mistreat Piggy like Hitler used to do the Jews. On part of Lord of the Flies where Jack doesn’t give Piggy any food, mostly because Jack didn’t like Piggy, but he told Piggy that he didn 't hunt enough. Piggy was mostly on Ralph side, meanwhile the other boys weren 't interested in Ralph 's ideas and more so interested in Jack’s idea and side. Piggy would also have to do everything Jack and Ralph said. Jack did not like Piggy which made Jack treat Piggy worst, like Hitler with the Jews. There was times that Piggy would get ignored by Jack and the other boys which sort of are like the Nazis. Ever since the beginning of the book you can tell that Jack doesn’t like Piggy like in page 20 of the book where Jack calls a rude name to Piggy. In the book the conch represents a way for people the speak freely and to give each person a say in the government, in which it did . The purpose of the conch was for people to give their say in what’s happening at the island. Whenever Piggy tried to speak but using the conch Jack would interpret. Which also sort of ties into my last paragraph about how Piggy which has a character parallel to the Jews was never heard or interpret by Jack which his character parallel is Hitler.
