In the movie The Call Of The Wild, directed by Peter Svatek, Buck isn’t as aggressive, and is more arrogant. This made Buck better in the movie than the book, because it makes the audience like Buck more than the other dogs. In the movie Buck denies that he is a house pet, and goes out into the wild. This appeals to more audiences, because when Buck fights, he doesn’t make the dogs bleed as much in the movie, than the book. Other ways Buck is different in the movie, is that Buck wasn’t a St. Bernard and Scot Shepard mix in the movie, but he is in the book.
