The United States Constitution did a better job of achieving the principles that the American Revolution fought for than the Articles of Confederation did. The United States Constitution applied and enforced all of the rights that were gained in the Revolutionary war and granted the United States with a democracy. The Government could be divided into three branches of power; the colonist could choose who they wanted to represent them in the House of Representatives, and through the Bill of Rights freedom was bestowed onto all free citizens.
