The American military and Mexican military have differences that distinguished them during the U.S mexican war. For one the mexican soldiers lacked a officer corps to lead them. The American military had enough of the many resources that the mexican military did not have. As a result the lack of professional training the mexican soldiers did not obtain had caused for them loose men after men. The American Army was best known to have a better naval army they had men in sea and helped them fight battle out of land. The U.S. government claimed that the southern border of Texas was the Rio Grande; Mexico maintained it to be the Nueces River.
