The 6:1 Diet
The 6:1 diet is a diet that consists of eating healthy for 6 days and then fasting completely for the next day. The 6:1 diet is basically a form of intermittent fasting in which the person goes through a cycle of non-fasting and fasting periods. No one knows who invented fasting as evidence of fasting has gone all the way back thousands of years. The 6:1 diet wasn’t really created, as no one invented fasting. Someone might have, but we do not know who. The cost of the 6:1 diet is 0$. You don’t have to pay any extra money than what you already pay to eat normally. In the movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, a man named Joe Cross uses the Green Juice diet to become healthier and lose over 100 pounds. The movie became famous and lots of people started to try this diet. The movie was released in 2011. There is no real cost for this diet, as it doesn’t require anything that you couldn’t find at your local grocery store. There aren’t any advertisements for the Green Juice Diet, except on health websites. After the movie was released, many people followed the diet, including famous Hollywood stars. Most of the actors don’t truly follow the green juice diet, but they have been seen drinking a green smoothie. Some notable figures are Kate Upton, Ashley Greens, Olivia Wilde, Drew Barrymore, Josh Duhamel and Colin Farrell. Most health experts say that unless you are truly following the diet, it won’t be any healthier than what you already eat. A green smoothie a day won’t make up for all the other bad food choices you would make. Many people add ingredients that they think are healthy but end up adding more calories and unhealthy choices. Too much juice can be unhealthy. It is considered a fad diet because it blew up after the movie, Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. After that, health experts debunked it and the popularity lessened. The diet doesn’t target anyone in specific. The green juice fast works best for heavier people. If you are already at the right weight and you want to maintain it, you should stick with your regular diet minus all of the junk food and just drink one to two smoothies every day. The only special foods entailed in the diet are green vegetables in a smoothie. You aren’t supposed to add anything unless you check with a doctor or online. Most foods that people add to the smoothie usually cancel out the healthiness of the green
