This book is about the Aztecs and how they used to live. The Aztecs were excellent engineers. They built three causeways over the swamp to link the city with the mainland. These were raised roads made of stone supported on wooden pillars. Parts of these crossways were briges that could be lifted if need be. It was one of the safest cities in Mexico and one of the most established. It was one of the biggest cities back then. The houses were big if you were rich and they had more structsher but if you were poor you lived in a smaller less sturty house. Life in this city was great they had a great water system a great king. Life was great.
Compareing the two stories I would like to point out that one is fiction the other is not. They both take place in Tenochtitlan and are in the same time peirod. In the book Popocatepetl & Ixtlaccihuatl it’s more about how the mountains became. In the book of Tenochtitlan it’s about how there everyday life went and how it was back then. Popocatepetl & Ixtlaccihuatl are the main chareters in there book but in Tenochtitlan there is no main chareter the story only talks about the town and it’s people not a main person.
