Life can be harsh and unfair, In the books Warrior Cats CrookedStar’s Promise a cat from one of the Clans called Riverclan about a young Cat named Crookedkit and TallStar’s Revenge both a cat who is part of another clan called Windclan a moor runner apprentice named Tallpaw, both books written by author Erin Hunter. Both of these cats, Tallpaw and Crookedkit both face problems in life with their family and even there Clans.
One of the reasons why life can be harsh and unfair is that Crooked Kit's Mother, Rainflower blames him about breaking his jaw and in the words of of “ you ruined your face!” and “This is not my fault it's yours for going out of the camp!” She also brags about Crookedkit’s brother Oakkit in front of him saying he will be the best warrior Riverclan will ever have. After Crookedkit is renamed From Stormkit to Crookedkit cause of his crooked jaw, his Clan won't look him in the eye of even look at his face, Including his mother. Crookedkit hides in the corner of the Riverclan camp when he eats cause Erin hunter, the author described that he couldn't chew properly and food would fall out of his mouth every time he eats. Back in Tallpaw’s clans after his father Sangorse dies in a flood in a underground tunnel with another cat named Sparrow, who makes it out alive. Tallpaw runs down the flooded tunnel in search to find his father, but has no luck. Tallpaw is pulled out of the tunnel as soon as it collapsed for good. In the medicine cat den he realizes it was sparrow’s fault and starts to think bad things about him, like it should have been him who died not Sandgorse and you never should have come to Windclan. When Tallpaw is ready to leave the medicine cat’s den he doesn't act the same and is always mourning Sandgorse and is realizing that he has no more friends and cats are avoiding
