Compare And Contrast Super Cars Vs Muscle Cars

Improved Essays
I believe that the american muscle cars are better then tuners/supercars/imports. Are muscle cars are louder, heavier and meaner than any other cars i know of. Super cars are built for speed and precision but muscle cars make them sound like lawn mowers. They are very aerodynamic and the muscle cars are lean heavy and built to take a hit. If you were to wreck a ferrari or lamborghini they would smash and cost you thousands maybe millions. Plus you can't really work on it yourself you have to take it to a special dealer and by ridiculously expensive parts. One of the biggest differences of supercars and muscles cars are the engines. “Muscle cars have big, powerful V-8s or better that give them the "muscle" in their name. Sports cars, on the other hand, have smaller engines that might still be powerful, but often because they are accompanied by forced induction. In short, muscle car engines are powerful and sports car engines are quick.“-carsdirect.com. So as i said in the beginning the americans like to be loud and proud, not quick and quiet. …show more content…
People are going to pay such high prices for these cars because they want to be hip and make everyone think they are cool. They want other people to work on their cars so that they don't have to. It is damn near impossible to work on a supercar also, because the manufacturers want you to waste money on their parts and have only their mechanics to work on it. I read an article one time about porsche or ferrari and you have to go to a special school for years and years just to change the oil on one of those cars. It may be just me but i like working on my car myself, i don’t want to purchase a vehicle that i can't even work
