Soccer vs. Football
The issue of soccer and football has initiated many controversies amongst viewers and sports fans in recent years. Soccer lovers had disputed the comparison of American football with their favorites. They believed the terminology “Football” is unfitting because the game is played using hands and contradict its name. Hence, novice mistook the difference between both sports. Soccer is commonly called Football in the rest of the world except in the United States with its own football called “American Football”. Lovers of both sports able to distinguish between both sports psychologically and physically ranging from players, pitch, game Duration, championship, Officials. The fascinating thing about both games are the players. Both sports have two opposing teams with a maximum of 11 players except soccer included a Goalkeeper. Soccer players are averagely weighted. They are recruited anywhere in the world from Africa, America, and Europe. They wear sports kits such as cleats, Jersey, shorts, and shin guards. Any player in any position could score a goal. A standard soccer field is a rectangular 120yard long and 74yard wide. It has a middle line at that the center where the game kickoff. A white netted goal post where the goalkeeper is position and one of the officials “referees” behind it. There is a penalty line in front of the goal post utilized by opposing team if awarded a penalty. A standard football pitch is 120yard by length and 53yard wide.
