In both stores the ironic irony was the same and they had the same story line. Also in both stories they had the same premiss, two people gave up there most treasured items so they could get a gift for the other one. The iron in that was they they the gift that they got was made for the other persons thing that they sold. In The Gift of the Magi it set in New York in the passed. On the other had Sesame street was set in a much earlier time period. The two gifts that they exchanged were different in both stories in one of the stories; he traded his rubber ducky for a cigars box for his friends paper clip collecting. The other person trade his paper clip collection for his friend, and he got a soap dish for the other persons rubber ducky. Another thing that was different was that in the Gift or the Magi they did not get back what they had sacrificed for the other person. They out the presents away because they did not each other knowing that they could not use the gift. Sense she had sold her hair she could not get it back and every use the hair clip. On the other had on Sesame Street they both got their presents back. They could now use the gift that they had received.
