The book “Ransom of Red Chief” and the movie had some similarities and differences. They both had all the same characters. They didn’t have the same settings. In the book they hid in a cave. In the movie they hid in the woods. In the book Bill was short, but in the movie Bill was the same height as Sam.

In the story Bill and Sam tried to bribe the boy with candy. In the movie they didn’t they just grabbed the boy up and shoved him in a box. In the movie the little boy set Bill on fire. In the book Bill was never set on fire. In both the movie and the book Bill was beaten up by the little boy. In both the movie and book Bill was scalped by the little boy.
