Education is one of the most essential components that we need in life. It allows us to think more when learning new things. For learning to happen effectively, the environment has to be in a good condition, rather than distraction by other people or things. There are many options to receive education - homeschool and public school. Homeschool is a better choice, because it doesn 't waste time, it 's not frustrating, saves money and you 're in your own space and not distracted by others. Homeschool is an education program for people to attend classes online, who are on a time schedule. The program allows you to work on assignments, learn the concept and move on to the next subject. Unlike high school where teachers have a schedule plan, when school is cancelled, students are given less time to learn the concept. This program also saves time, instead of being in a building for 8 hours, you can be done with you assignments early and not have to be in a building for a long time. It gives time for students to do activities outside from school and to be with their family members. Money is spent a lot in public schools, because the administrators have to buy supplies, furniture, and lunch meals for students. According to Dr. Ray, president of the nonprofit National Home Education Research Institute, says that “Taxpayers spend an average of $11,732 per pupil in public schools, plus capital expenditures. Taxpayers spend nothing on most homeschool students and homeschool families spend an average of $600 per student for their education”(Ray). Homeschooling, also known as home education, involves the education of children at home instead of receiving education at a traditional private or public school. According to Bauman (2011), many students are schooled at home and the number in the United States is growing at 15 to 20 percent per year. It is a system in which parents prefer their children to be educated at home and argue that it is more beneficial for them. There are those who advocate homeschooling, while there are some skeptics about homeschooling as well. Homeschooling is becoming very popular and many see it as being a bad idea due to the fact that teachers in traditional schools are better qualified due to years of training, the child’s socialization skills will be negatively…

Starting school later for students to get the sleep they need. This could either be a good thing and can accommodate students to have a better education or could completely have the disadvantages adults are afraid that will happen. For being a student, I believe that there are plenty of benefits to starting school later. Even in the rain, or thunder, you can’t stop practicing, you just have to push through the storm. Perfecting your skills on the track, field, court, ring, mat, etc. does not come easy, and takes time. The weather plays a major role in whether you will practice or not. When athletes hear that dreaded announcement, “all sports practice will be cancelled today due to weather,” they now have to change all of their plans. I believe, adding an indoor practice facility to the school will benefit the school because, during stormy days practice does not have to be cancelled, give the school more to offer, give coaches more time with their athletes to perfect their skills.…

Being at Fallsvale throughout most of my elementary, and entire middle school years honestly helped me, simply because the stress levels of switching to a new school are very high, and staying at one school really boosted my confidence. I am positive that if I were to have switched schools in elementary, I would have been so nervous to start middle school, and only stay there for a couple years. I also would not have made so many great friends, because I simply wouldn’t have too much time to know them. Staying at Fallsvale definitely helped me make some great friends too; I knew them for a long time, so I always had company as well. At REV, I don’t know at least three quarters of the students there, because it’s such a big school!…

Sexuality should be introduced at an early age such as fifth grade when kids are transitioning to middle school. Although many parents would most likely prefer to censor certain topics from their child I believe that as long as it’s done in an appropriate way, then it should be fine. Now, parents may have different opinions as to what “an appropriate way” is. I consider small doses at a time to be reasonable. Maybe showing a video of a mother giving birth to her child to a student in the third grade isn’t the smartest idea since most children at a young age aren’t mature enough for such strong and highly debated topic.…

Children go to school so they can learn and be taught a variety of subjects by a teacher qualified to teach them, alternatively to the lessons parents give their children when growing up at home. Parents however who decide to homeschool may say it is because they don 't trust the board of education to teach their children properly, but what they don 't realize is that they aren 't necessarily qualified unless they have a teacher 's license, even if it 's technically legal to teach your children without one. Teaching when your own personal views prevents children forming their own opinion does not help children, and that biased education starting at a young age can affect their interpretation of everything thereafter. When parents decide to…

They also may move from place to place because of a parent’s job, which is the main reason those parents decide to homeschool. “ [Speaking on behalf of her children] Life is a learning experience, so there’s always something to discover” (Mom Prepares). Public school students very rarely have this opportunity. Being that homeschooled students are more than likely the only students, they have a wide range of possibilities for different ways to learn, one of them being leaving their usual classroom.…

(The Pros and Cons of Homeschooling, 2014) mentions that homeschooling can help a child learn better in their comfort zone, which means that sometimes children in school tend to have trouble with following the teacher’s explanation in terms of speed or other factors.
