Compare And Contrast Night And Elie Wiesel

The Holocaust was a mass murderer in which six million jews were killed by Adolf Hitler and the Natzi’s in Germany. This was a rough time for many people, they were put in concentration camps like Elie form the book Night by Elie Wiesel and Edie from the article “ Hope Amidst the Ashes of the Holocaust by Edie Edger. Both Elie and Edie were in Auschwitz but they survived! Also, many people starved because all they would get was soup which was like hot water and dirt with a piece of bread. This was not enough for people to get the strength they needed to stay alive. Elie and Edie both lost a lot of weight and were hungry. However, they both survived the Holocaust in Hungary 1944-1945. With all there hope the both of them had they were able to survive. Elie and Edie both had hope when other people and put smile on others faces. Elie’s hope wasn’t always positive and sometimes it was only about him and not anybody else. However, Edie was the exact opposite her hope was always positive and she always worried about others. When Edie and her sister (Magda) were jumping off the train as the bomb went off and they were running and Edie kept running and didn’t look back. But, when she did she realized her sister had gashed her leg. This was what she said, “There is no freedom without my sister..so I traced my steps back.”(Edie.6) Edie was about to be free but she couldn’t without her sister.
