First off are their ideologies. Both men believed in separate ideologies Hitler believing in Nazism, and Mussolini believing in Fascism. Mussolini used the Black Shirts or disgruntled middle class to rise to power. They supported him and made other’s support him.That was bad but it was nothing compared to what Hitler would do. HItler held ralleyes for his german brethren. Seems good right? Well except for the the Jews and minorities. Hitler blamed everything on the jews and killed them. He also killed blacks, cripples, mental handicapped, writers, and scientists just so he could gain the power he needed. HItler and Mussolini definitely differed in this category.
Finally to grasp why these men were so evil their were their goals. Mussolini’s goal was to make a new Roman Empire. He grew strong enough to obtain Ethiopia and aided Francisco Franco in his Spanish Civil War. how does this compare to Hitler? Well Hitler had two main goals in mind when he took over the German government. His first goal was to give the people of Germany living space. That seems pretty nice right?
