The movie and the book are both about a young girl who was murdered. Both the movie and the book were set back in the 70’s. People in Susie’s neighborhood and family find it hard to believe she was murdered. Everyone kind of sort of obsesses over the death of Susie. In the book they find Susie’s elbow in the movie they do not. In the movie they do not talk about the murder until after it happens. There are many differences between the book and the movie. Another thing that had happened in the book but not the movie was when Abigail had an affair with Len Fenerman. And in the book Jack has a heart attack and in the movie he doesn’t.
