Mitosis and meiosis are similar in a way that they are both ways in which cells reproduce. Mitosis and Meiosis both occur in humans and animals. In both cases (Mitosis and Meiosis), cells copy DNA and make new cells based on the information of parent cells.
However, in Mitosis, the cell only divides once and in Meiosis, there are two different cell divisions which are the first and second divisions. In Mitosis, spindle fibers completely disappear in telophase but do not do so
