Without a doubt, LeBron James and Michael Jordan are considered to be legends in the National Basketball Association, otherwise known as the NBA. Both players have achieved tons of accomplishments. Although they have similarities, they also have a great deal of differences. Some of the similarities and differences these players share is their environment, accomplishments, and characteristics. Environment plays one of the biggest roles in similarities and differences of these legends. When he was only 19 years old, LeBron James was drafted number one overall pick in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unlike LeBron, Michael went to college and played basketball at North Carolina University for 3 years before going the NBA. Also, Michael spent thirteen seasons in Chicago before retiring. Although, Michael did come out of retirement and played for the Washington Wizards for two seasons. Similar to LeBron, Michael had an impressive team also. Having players such as Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, Jordan’s team was one of the greatest of all times. Michael Jordan was also on the USA Olympic basketball team, which was arguably the best team ever. They were so prestigious that they earned the nickname “The Dream Team”. One thing that separates these two players is the eras they played in. LeBron plays in today’s world, but Michael played back in the 90’s.
