Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus River Valley Civilizations all invented many new tools, and inventions which were some of the greatest until the 18th, and 19th Centuries. These Ancient Civilizations began around 8,000 years ago, and lasted for about 5,000 years Mesopotamia and Egypt are located near the Mediterranean Sea, and are in the Fertile Crescent. The Indus River Valley Civilization is located south of the Himalayas in India. All these civilizations had technologies that allowed them to create new tools, and inventions which they used to make their daily lives less burdensome.
Mesopotamia created new technologies which helped improve transportation, and ease the process of growing crops. Mesopotamia invented “the wheel, which has revolutionized the way early human beings travelled and transported goods from one place to another.” The sail was also created in Mesopotamia which significantly improved transportation over water.
