Two main figures that were important in history in spite the differences of time periods they lived in, had a lot in common. Malcolm X was an important figure to the people of Islam, a national leader to a movement that later lead to his demise. In correspondence, Julius Caesar came from royal and noble backgrounds. He arose to a be a great empire of Rome, but Julius Caesar was a greedy man that only wanted power for himself, which lead to his downfall. Malcolm X had a troubled life before he became inspirational, and Julius Caesar came from humble beginnings, but they both met their tragic ends. Showing how these figures had similar features, which made each of them leaders to American History.

By age 31, Caesar had fought in several wars and became involved in Roman politics. To then Caesar becoming a dictator of the Roman Empire. He was a rule that lasted for just one year before his death. Julius Caesar was assassinated by political rivals on the Ides of March (the 15th), 44 BC. Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus, former enemies of Julius Caesar who'd joined the Roman Senate, led Caesar’s assassination, calling themselves "the liberators." Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. In 1946, Malcolm X was convicted of burglary charges, and he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, but he was granted parole after serving seven years in prison. Malcolm X’s father, Earl Little, was an outspoken Baptist minister and avid supporter of Black Nationalist leader Marcus Garvey. Malcolm’s brother, Reginald belonged to the religious organization the Nation of Islam (NOI).
