Many high school grads are face with many struggles leaving high school. Like where to go college, how will they pay for school, and where to live while there. Most college offer two options to live on campus or off of campus. Some universities have many different types of housing styles. The housing styles range from normal two person dorms to off campus houses. The price of housing can depending on where the students decides to live. When choosing housing students need to look at how college dorms work, how living off campus can be different, and the advantages that the two share. Students also have a few options for living off campus also. Students can choice to stay in an apartment, condo, or even adventure out and try to find a house. Living off campus comes with a lot more freedom. Living off campus comes with a lot more privacy. For instants there is no RAs there to tell students to pick up their dirty underwear. Students don’t have to have a curfew for when their guest have to leave or be checked out. Living off campus can be cheaper than living on campus because some schools make you pay for a meal plan. It teaches you how to live as a responsible adult. Students have to learn to manage money for rent, food, electricity, and gas for transportation. They both allow student the opportunity to experience the taste of freedom without their parents. Large amounts of students choose to go too far away school only because it them a chance to be free of their parents and their rules. Another pro is that they both give students the option of living alone. Not all schools give freshman this option but it is an option for living on campus. Depending on the school and the regulation they both allow students the chance to pick who their roommate shall be. Both give students the chance to meet new people. Living on campus can give students the chance to mingle with students of the same age or even the same interest. Living off campus near a university can give a student a chance to make friends with an older crowd and make for an eye opening experience
