Night chooses to focus on death and horrible conditions of the Holocaust in an attempt for people to not forget the tragedy. While Life is Beautiful chooses for its theme to be evident throughout the film wanting to show light can come from darkness. So here we can they are extremely different maybe even polar opposites like Life is Beautiful showing an entertaining movie. With it limiting the number of deaths, is heavily depended on visual gags and spending a lot less time on the Holocaust than something like a documentary. Night focuses on telling the story of Elie and his bitter survival story across multiple camps (Birkenau, Auschwitz, Buna, and Buchenwald) wasting no detail and describing in good detail. All these differences would make you think the only similarities between the two is that both the main characters are Jewish and a father and son go through it. But, ironically enough both Night and Life is Beautiful are similar in the theme though not outright stated. Elie does survive the Holocaust and all of the horrible conditions which could show light can and will come from the darkness of Life is

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, a heartbreaking movie, based on a fictional novel, shares the inimaginable friendship of a Nazi soldier's son, Bruno, with an imprisoned Jewish boy, Shmuel. Together, they risk their lives to save the young Jew's father. Both stories share the same main topic, the Holocaust during World War II.…

The holocaust was an awful time for Jews, and everyone around them. Night is just one of many stories about their time in the camps, and how awful it was. Peril of indifference is a speech by the same author, which explains how bad indifference is and it does not help anyone. I feel as though the speech does a better job supporting Elie’s message, because it explains many topics and relates it to almost everyone. Night is a very emotional story, about a boys time in the concentration camps.…
