In a dry valley Coyote’s stomach begins to rumble as he searched for his next meal when he spots a girl named Isabel wearing a red hood looking for flowers. As he slyly gets Isabel to tell him where she is headed to he gets a whiff of the yummy tamales with chile sauce in Isabel’s basket but refuses to eat them because he is headed to the adobe house where he can eat both Isabel and her grandmother. As Isabel approaches the house Coyote dresses in her grandmother’s gown and lays in bed while Isabel questions why her grandmother looks different. She soon discovers that the coyote is not her grandmother but a hungry beast that has taken grab of her and is trying eat her when Isabel dumps her entire basket of tamales and chile sauce into his big
