The book Hatchet did a better job telling the story than the movie “A Cry in the Wild”. This is because it gave more details while the movie just didn't really give any details at all. It also used more foreshadowing and imagery. The book also puts the biggest example of imagery possible was the pilot in the water, dead being eaten by fish they also gave you this image in the movie but looked nothing like you imagined. The foreshadowing was that his mother gave him a hatchet as a going away present and she also gave one to him in the movie so we kind of knew something was going on. I even think that there was a conspiracy theory about the crash. I think his mother tried to find a smoker and drinker so he would have a heart attack might crash
