Both having such dark childhoods, they seeked for power and money at a very young age. It led to them getting involved in the biggest cartels of history. With their massive amount of money, power, and connections, Griselda Blanco and Joaquin Guzman have made such a big impact on the illegal activities that have been going on through decades in America. Their creativity allowed them to smuggle all sorts of illegal drugs to various countries. Unlike Griselda, Joaquin Guzman invaded countries with not only cocaine, but also marijuana and heroin. Griselda began her history in Colombia, where she not only helped the poor, but she also killed anyone that betrayed her. Griselda’s first strategy, was designed lingerie that contained drugs. These were worn under the mules’ clothing that were undetected. Another method was women’s high heels. You would never think a woman’s high heel was filled with cocaine that Griselda Blanco produced. She was known to use women as mules because she believed they were the most unsuspicious group of people traveling at an airport. On the other hand, Joaquin smuggled not only cocaine, but also marijuana in food. He would stuff cucumbers, plantains, fake carrots, and chilli peppers with hundreds of pounds per shipment. One of his many ways included, “powdered donuts”. These donuts were covered in cocaine, instead of powdered sugar. Blanco’s and Guzman’s methods allowed them to smuggle illegal drugs to not only America, but also countries overseas. Their monthly profit would be no less than a billion dollars. Their methods didn’t end here. Before the police would catch their shipments, Griselda and Joaquin had already another way of smuggling in their mind. From airplanes, submarines, tunnels, and as easy as catapults that will drop off the merchandise over the border for a hitman to pick it up. Their inventions also included ways to kill people and get revenge. Griselda Blanco is very known for her motorcycle assassins.
