William Golding - Lord of the Flies 1954
William was born in Cornwall in 1911 and died in 1993. The book "Lord of the Flies" is his most famous work, the book was also the start of his career as a writer. He was awarded the 1980 Booker Prize and in 1983 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature.
I have already seen the film version of "Lord of the Flies" and I like strong purpose and the underlying message of the fable. To see how ordinary children become rabid wild teenagers, how ordinary children kill their former friends and how fast the man as creature might lose its fundamental values is amazing. Because literature is often better than the film version, I decided to read the book in order to compare them.

In this way, the book is also very dystopian as it as said may reflect a negative view of the world in the future.
If you should see the genre more of a fable perspective, it is primarily an adventure story. None of the cadets really want this but it is thrown into an involuntary adventures same second as their plane touches the water surface.
-Relevans: Have text importance today, or is it unattractive for the modern reader? Were you involved in the book? Why? The book is filmed? Have you seen the film? How do the book and film versions
