Some people are good and some are evil but it’s up to you to believe what you think . Dr.jekyll and mr.hyde are both the same person but different personalities , one claims to be fully evil and the other claims he's good . The truest side in Dr jekyll is Mr Hyde . Ironically , when dr.jekyll was younger he wasn’t such a good person , this may have caused him to have another personality which is hyde . “ my mind misgives me he is deep waters! He was wild when he was young ; a long while ago to be sure ; but in the law of god , there is no statute of limitations . Ay, it must be that; the ghost of some old sin , the cancer of some concealed disgrace : punishment coming.”(Stevenson pg#17) Jekyll was wild and evil when he was younger and now all of the sins from the past are slowly coming back to haunt him and bring a curse upon him .

And then all of a sudden he broke out in a great flame of anger, stamping with his foot , brandishing the cane , and carrying on (as the maid described it ) like a madman” (Stevenson pg #21) The maid believed that the goodness of the humans was demolished by the brutal act that Mr.Hyde has done

Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Jekyll creates Hyde by a series of experiments in order to prove his statement that man is not truly one, but truly two. He means that the human soul is a mixture of good and evil. This means every man’s foil is within himself. Hyde is a manifestation of the evil that lives inside an otherwise honorable Dr. Jekyll.…

He wrote that both sides of a person 's reasoning function separately, and that both are at all times completely in earnest (77). In The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, he attempts to convey an idea of what these dual natures would look like if they could be separated. Naturally, such polar opposite regimes cannot cohabit the same body without a great deal of conflict. After presuming human dichotomy, Dr. Jekyll 's mission was to separate these two natures.…

Jekyll is his regular identity. His does however have some evil side in his standard identity where Mr. Hyde is completely evil. The first example of Dr. Jekyll acknowledging that he was good was when he was talking about his life in a letter, “It was on the moral side, and in my own person, that I learned to recognize the thorough and primitive duality of man; I saw that, of the two natures that contended in the field of my consciousness, even if I could rightly be said to be either, it was only because I was radically both” (104). What he means in this quote is that he thinks that man has two sides, a good side and a bad side. He also realizes that he has learned this through personal experience.…

In every single person there is some good and there is some evil. There is the same amount of each in everyone but the way the person handles their feelings shows whether the person lets the evil or the good take over. In the novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson the theme of a person having good and evil and that the person struggles with these two forces is very evident. The evil is evident in Mr. Hyde when he commits 2 different murders on an old man and when he killed Dr. Jekyll and ran over a child in his car. Dr Jekyll represents the good when he controls not turning into Hyde and also shows his hatred towards Hyde when people bring up Hyde.…

In The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it revolves around the point that there are two sides to a person. There is the kind and rational side, which is represented as Dr. Jekyll, and the hateful and indulgent side, which is represented by Mr. Hyde. In the novel, the Dr.’s Hyde side made him do things that any person would regret doing. “Both sides of me were in dead earnest; I was no more myself when I laid aside restraint and plunged in shame, than when I laboured, in the eye of day, at the furtherance of knowledge or the relief of sorrow and suffering”(Chapter ten, paragraph one). Everybody, at some point in their lives, have indulged in their Hyde side, and my life is no exception.…

However, it is said that evil comes from within, and cannot be seen from an outside look. While reading Jekyll and Hyde, you can plainly see the physical change in appearance from Jekyll to Hyde, and with the change of looks comes, more importantly, a switch of personality. The first signs of the evil changing looks can come from Hyde’s overall look, which is described on page 14, where the text explains, “Mr. Hyde was pale and dwarfish, he gave an impression of deformity without any nameable malformation, he had a displeasing smile,” This quote can be compared to a point in the text describing Dr. Jekyll, which recounts, “a large, well-made, smooth-faced man of fifty, with something of a slyish cast perhaps, but every mark of capacity and kindness,” (Stevenson 17). With the descriptions provided in the book, the difference between good and evil is plainly seen as two separate characters, but one overall being. In the story, the look of evil is deformed, shriveled Mr. Hyde, showing the display of Dr. Jekyll’s not so developed wicked side.…

Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, one character is good and one is evil. The same thing occurs in Frankenstein, where Victor is good, and the creature ends up being evil. Stevenson wrote, “This, as I take it, was because all human beings, as we meet them, are commingled out of good and evil: and Edward Hyde, alone in the ranks of mankind, was pure evil,” (Stevenson). This provides the evidence that Jekyll would be considered the good in the story and Hyde would be considered the evil. This relates to Frankenstein, when Shelley wrote, “I saw at the window a figure the most hideous and abhorred.…
