Politics have been around for a long time and almost every time it involves some kind of authority to be put in place to rule or govern. The upcoming election is considered to be one of the most significant presidential elections in a very long time. The election will decide which party controls the presidential seat in the executive branch. It also shows what policies and other laws that will be pasted in the near future. The president also will have a chance to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice. Donald Trump and Marco Rubio are two of the candidates in this year’s Republican primary that share similar and different views on issues such as abortion, immigration, and welfare. Donald Trump has a very interesting view on the idea of abortion. …show more content…
He has no problem banning Muslims from entering America, and he wants to keep a database of Muslim refugees. The illegal immigration hurts the economy, and he doesn’t care how many come in as long as it is legally. He believes the Syrian refugees are a Trojan Horse for terrorist, and Donald Trump is against birth citizenship. He wants to ship millions of illegal immigrants back to Mexico and put up walls on the borders. Trump states that he can get Mexico to pay for the wall, but politicians cannot. He also calling for triple fencing and heavy military protection with Predator drones, and he wants a door in this wall to allow immigrants to come in …show more content…
These two candidates both have their strengths and weaknesses that can set them apart from one another. Trump is more of a business man, and Rubio is more of a younger politician. Both share some similar views on the issues that were discussed above, but each has different ways of solving the problem. In my opinion, we have had election after election of politicians and military type presidents with each slowly driving up our national debt up since the 1970s. I say it’s time to get a business minded person into office. The national debt will reach twenty trillion dollars by the end of this year, and the debt is defacing the value of the American dollar because we do not even have enough gold to back the money that we are printing. Trump has led and owned several successful companies, and he is also a multi-billionaire. Trump can put America back on the right track by lowering the national debt or at least slow it down. I don’t think he will be a bad president as long as he gets a good foreign affairs staff together to help

Bill Clinton said “We are increasing inspections to prevent the hiring of illegal immigrants and tonight I announce I will sign an Executive Order to deny Federal contracts to businesses that hire illegal immigrants.” whereas Trump said “You can be very, very strong. It can be a huge financial penalty, it can be beyond a financial penalty. You can do that with E-Verify. I’m for it.” Just comparing these two quotes, Clinton is very specific about his rhetoric by stating what he will do to keep his words, whereas Trump is very ambiguous by listing meaningless words in his quotes. Furthermore, Trump tells his supporters that immigrants are “taking your jobs” therefore, there must be a penalty and most middle-income whites agree with Trump’s word because they believe Trump tells the truth and it is very likely that many whites find a job unable to get because employers are hiring minorities instead.…

Many of his plans require a lot of money. As everyone knows the U.S. is in debt with around $20 trillion dollars. Donald Trump will only add more debt, which is not needed. Also Trump stated “I will get them out so fast that your head would spin, long before I even can start the wall”(Geraghty, Page 1). In order to get people out of this country it is going to require money, so they can get home.…

Trump’s aggressiveness on immigration is unconstitutional. His dictator-like qualities, such as punishing those who burn the American flag, can be compared to when Hitler punished those who questioned his authority and went against his beliefs. Forcefully removing undocumented immigrants would mean spending government money and raising our tax dollars. Many citizens will not want to pay taxes so the government could deport a family member from the country. All in all, the strong united nation we have built could soon come to an end because of America’s poor decision…

In an interview, Donald John Trump, an American businessperson and a Republican candidate running for president, specified: “ The immigrants are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, and they’re rapists. It’s coming from Mexico. It’s coming from the south and Latin America and it’s coming, probably, from the Middle East, but we don’t know because we have no protection.” As a result of the immigrants coming into America, Trump wants to create the immigration plan. If Trump’s plan is carried out, the Mexicans would be unauthorized to enter America because of the “great great wall,” possible recessions and riots would take place, and all illegal immigrants including the birthright citizens will be forced to leave America. So why is it important…

Even though many may think building a wall is rude, I personally think it is just a clever way to prevent undocumented immigrants from entering; however, I do not agree with Trump’s plan to make Mexico pay for the wall. He believes that Mexico is taking advantage of us, but America has always been a country that is willing to help. Even though we are willing to help, we should be stricter about the immigrants that are in this country, and Donald Trump has good ideas to do that. To improve America, Trump’s scare tactics will bring people from different parties and areas of the country to vote for him in this upcoming election. He uses the fears of illegal immigration and terrorism as means of getting people to go vote for him.…

He has proposed sweeping tax cuts for businesses and individuals, and claims that it could lift the economy’s annual growth rate by six percent. This seems fairly unlikely, because what Congress would accept a ten trillion dollar deficit over ten years? (NYTimes) There are many, many more bold, empty promises that have been made, but these are just a few of…

Donald Trump does not receive special treatment in his tax code, therefore neither should the undocumented immigrants. In the article previously mentioned by Hart, he says “If we disobey, we are said to ‘break’ the law and what we have done is legally ‘wrong’, a ‘breach’ of duty, or an ‘offence’ (27). When the law is continually being broken actions need to be taken. If a case of undocumented immigration went to the court, they would look for an analogy and compare similarities and difference ending up with a conclusion (Bybee 10/10). The more and more undocumented immigrants migrating is causing a commotion in the United States.…

Trump believes that illegal immigration is destroying U.S. taxpayers, and he believes that neither Republicans nor Democrats are helping the situation. Republicans don’t do anything about illegal immigration because some of their business supporters want cheap labor. Democrats look at illegal immigrants as potential Democratic voters (135-136). Both Democrats and Republicans may have their reasons for illegal immigrants to stay, but Donald Trump thinks that the parties need to put America’s interests first and that illegal immigrants need to return from whence they came. Trump then continues to discuss that illegal immigrants are by definition, lawbreakers, and refers to them as “illegal aliens” due to the fact that illegal immigrants are often members or violent gangs.…

Head of state, Trump is belligerent and that’s the cause of his negative public perception. Trump played on the vulnerability of the people on delicate subjects such as immigration during his campaign, yet the reference to immigration was narrow, and minimal to congress priorities of repealing the affordable care act. President Trump denounced Islamic terrorism and pledge to eliminate it from the face of the planet but dedicated only half a sentence to the topic. In contrast to prior President Obama who talked about immigration, foreign policy and anti-discrimination in his inauguration address. Americans are now faced with a commander who is constitutionally incapable of telling the truth of trivial things.…

Trump does not think that it is fair for companies to remove their companies from American soil to Canadian or Mexican soil, just for their benefit.
