Mia in The Good Girl and Tris in Divergent are very similar characters. You will see throughout both novels that both of the characters develop into strong independent woman. Throughout Divergent Tris became a much stronger individual. She faced many challenges, overcame fears, and found someone she had loved. Some challenges she went through were choosing a faction, the different stages of initiation, learned how to fight, and learned how to be carefree. In Divergent Tris said, “I don’t need to relive my fears anymore. All I need to do now is overcome them.”(Roth). I can relate to this quote in ways of how I don’t need to live in fear anymore I need to overcome what is scaring
