“David” is a famous master of work, it has been admired by many including myself. The statue is considered the greatest work of Michelangelo’s career of creativity and skill, “David” is definitely a Renaissance sculpture. The artist started working on it between 1501 and 1504, this mankind creature is 5.17 meters. The statue is made of marble, and it is a standing body of a naked man. Back then in the renaissance, the naked body was viewed as art, beauty, and something extraordinary. Things have nowadays changed, it has almost become the opposite. A nude body is now looked at as inappropriate and something of low standards. The astonishing statue of Michelangelo is placed in the public square of Florence, when it is supposed to be positioned along the roofline of the east with the other prophet statues. The sculpture represents the bible hero and prophet David.
