The articles of confederation and us constitution share many similarities and differences. Both were created during a time where people demanded a type of government other the crown of England. Prior to both of these documents were created, people did not have the assistance of others foreign countries, leaving them tactically and diplomatically weak. The articles of the confederation and the constitution gave colonies domestic unity and foreign assistance, they also gave the original colonial powers some added leverage in handling diplomatic affairs, including negotiating land deals with foreign governments.
