This essay will discuss the question of whether equestrians were more important than senators in the running of the empire. Here, I have interpreted importance to mean the degree to which they were integral to Roman imperial administration. That being said, I shall evaluate the role of both the Senate and individual equestrians under the Julio-Claudian emperors. I will investigate Augustus’ granting of rights to equestrians that permitted them to enter Egypt and Arminius being an equestrian in his youth, Tiberius’ attitude and role in treason trails and the role of Sejanus, Gaius’ relationship with the Senate, Claudius’ actions towards the Senate and his promotion of equestrians, and finally Nero’s relationship with the Senate and the role…

The two versions of Much Ado About Nothing that I chose were the 1993 version, directed by Kenneth Branagh, and the 2012 version directed by Joss Whedon. The two interpretations were drastically different from one another, but I think that the 2012 version was the funniest. In the 1993 version, the director also plays the character of Benedick, and the play is interpreted as the expected period piece. Unlike the 2012 version; the 1993 version displays a more jovial atmosphere all throughout, but the happiness of the characters does little to make the play funny. The happy atmosphere is demonstrated by multiple scenes being interpreted as party and picnic scenes with many laughing people who are not mentioned in the script.…

I really am not a fan of people comparing me to others, but when I think of fictional characters that remind me of me, a few come to mind. When I think of my personality, I think of humor and a loving person who is hardworking. I really don't like being compared to people because I feel I am one-of-a-kind and don't believe anyone is like me. Despite when speaking of fictional characters who are most like me, I believe three come to mind these three characters represent me as a person in different ways. The three fictional characters that most represent my personality are Stitch from Lilo and Stitch for his hard working and outgoing personality, Roger for his wisdom and understanding, and Stewie for his intelligence and humor but also caring for his family.…
