Even though the reasons for traveling to this ‘New World’ might have been for selfish reasons like Captain Smith or good reasons like William Bradford but they still had to go through a lot. He was the first to talk to them and help them back on their feet. Samoset talked of another native who was also from England and it was he who will meet with. 5 days later they met with the native whose names is Squanto and who they got along with quite nicely. After making peace with Squanto, the people of the plymouth plantation were taught on how to survive. They learned how to set the corn, where to catch fish, and to procure other commodities. To the pilgrims, Squanto was a tool sent from god to guide them. The pilgrims were very grateful to them because without them they probably wouldn't have survived.
If I had to choose on going on the journey with one, I would go with William Bradford’s colony. In William Bradford’s colony I would feel safer. I am also religious and I feel he would make a great leader. His colony helped the people who were dying and tried at least giving them hope which i would want if i was sick. Also his colony got along with the Natives very easily because they weren’t people who came looking for trouble but shelter. The risk of dying in Bradford’s colony seemed less likely and I would have went with
